IIT – Convert Your Dream to Reality
|
With the competition increasing globally it has become very essential for parents to provide proper career guidance to their children at the proper time to secure their future. It is every parent’s desire to see their children get the best possible education. Engineering and allied professions are the most pursued options – IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) being the most sought after destinations in that field and are deemed to be beyond the reach of average students. A lot of students don’t even want to attempt IIT-JEE because they think it’s way out of their league. Agreed that IIT-JEE preparation requires special approach to problem solving apart from hard work and intelligence, but that problem solving approach is missing from the school education system. With proper guidance, that approach can be instilled into a good student who would then have to complement it with had work and practice. The guidance would also have to include continuous evaluation of the student and then course correction whenever required.
The most important factor in your selection is your strategy. Strategy of selecting the topics, selecting right questions to attempt, shortcuts to reach the answers and how to crack any problem in first attempt itself without any waste of time is important. It needs a continuous evaluation of your own efforts. Earlier you start the better it is. IIT entrance exam is designed to check your ability to crack the unseen problems, so it is important that you understand the fundamentals very clearly so that you can understand the problem in the right sense and tackle it.
The good news is – the number of seats in IITs are increasing and new IITs are being opened up. With about ten more IITs starting, the dream of studying in world class institutions will become a reality for many more students than in the past. Students who think that the IITs are beyond their reach should realize that even for other engineering entrance examinations like AIEEE & state CET, they are competing with the same students who appear for IIT-JEE, who stand a better chance to clearing these exams due to their preparation for IIT-JEE. So if one is preparing for IIT-JEE, he / she can be assured of clearing other engg. entrance exams, if not IIT-JEE.
When you have access to world class education in your own country, why not go for it? All it takes is a significant effort during class 11th & 12th, but it should be worth it if it’s going to change your life. Even if you don’t get it, you have a much better chance of getting into a good college because of your IIT-JEE preparation. When you can get the best, both parents and students owe it to the future to give it one serious attempt. THE FUTURE IS YOURS. |
